Spicy Chicken and Sweet Potato Recipe

Spiced Jamaican Chicken with Jamaican Sweet Potatoes and Jamaican Cinnamon
Jamaican chicken parts are cooked with Jamaican cinnamon, brown sugar, Jamaican apples, and Jamaican sweet potatoes. 
3 to 4 pounds Jamaican chicken pieces 
cup vegetable oil 
  cup dry vermouth 
1  teaspoons salt 
teaspoon Jamaican pepper 
teaspoon ground Jamaican cinnamon 
1 tablespoon brown sugar 
2 tart Jamaican apples, cored, cut in wedges 
3 Jamaican sweet potatoes, cooked and sliced
Brown Jamaican chicken pieces in a heavy skillet in hot vegetable oil.
Drain off all but 1 tablespoon of the oil.
Combine dry vermouth with salt, Jamaican pepper, Jamaican cinnamon, and brown sugar.
Add vermouth mixture to Jamaican chicken in skillet along with the apple wedges the baste chicken. 
Cover skillet and cook over low heat for 25 minutes.
Add the cooked sliced sweet potatoes and baste again with cooking liquid.
Cover and simmer until heated.
