Jamaican Mango Syrup and Plantain Recipe
This is a popular Jamaican plantain recipe that uses Jamaican mango syrup.
3 ripe Jamaican plantains (black)
1 cup Jamaican mango juice
cup brown sugar
1 Jamaican cinnamon
1. Peel and cut the Jamaican plantains into small rounds.
2. Place in a small saucepan and add the Jamaican mango juice, brown sugar and Jamaican cinnamon stick.
3. Bring to a boil then lower the temperature and let simmer for about 2 hours, stirring every hour.
Serve this plantain recipe as a side dish or as a Jamaican dessert recipe with Jamaican mango ice cream.
