Jamaican Cheese & Plantain Recipe
A delicious plantain recipe using Jamaican cheese.
 
INGREDIENTS
3 ripe Jamaican plantains
4 tbsp. of butter
lb. cheddar cheese, cut in small squares
cup of sugar
1 Jamaican cinnamon stick
 
PREPARATION
1. Peel the Jamaican plantains; cut them in half lengthwise without separating the two halves.
2. In a large pot, melt the butter and brown the plantains. Fill the plantains with the cheese squares and put them back in the pot.
3. Sprinkle them with the sugar, and pour the milk over it.
4. Add cinnamon. Place cover on pot and cook for 10 minutes on low.
